§ 10.20.030. Violation—City correction.

  • If a violation is not corrected fully within ten days after the service of the notice as provided for in Section 10.20.020, the Director of Planning and Zoning may cause the growth of grass, weeds or other rank vegetation to be cut, thinned, removed or destroyed so as to be in compliance with the requirements of this chapter. All costs and expenses incurred by the Director of Planning and Zoning to bring any lot or parcel of land into compliance with the requirements of this chapter are the responsibility of the owner of the lot or parcel of land. Until the expenses are paid by the owner, they constitute a lien upon the property and the Director of Finance shall add such costs to the tax bill for the year and they shall be collected in the same manner as other City taxes.
