§ 16.04.070. Chlorine or bacteria testing.

All new and repaired water lines shall be disinfected in accordance with current American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards and tested for bacteria before they are placed in service. The tests performed to determine residual chlorine and bacteria levels shall be performed by authorized City personnel and associated costs shall be paid by the installing/repairing contractor. The charge for chlorine or bacteria testing on water lines shall be as established by resolution of the City Council.
