§ 17.11.820. Violations and penalties.

Violations of this chapter or failure to comply with the requirements of this chapter any conditions attached to a permit or variance shall constitute a municipal infraction and is subject to a fine as established by resolution of the City Council. Any person responsible for a violation shall comply with the notice of violation or stop work order. A person who ignores, defaces or removes a stop work order, unsafe order or an unfit order issued by the Code Official is guilty of a municipal infraction and is subject to a fine as established by resolution of the City Council. All fines must be paid in full before the order will be lifted and any work can continue. Each day a violation continues shall be considered a separate offense. Nothing herein contained shall prevent the City of Annapolis from taking such other lawful action as is necessary to prevent or remedy any violation.
