§ 17.16.110. Electrical Code violation.

  • A.

    A person who violates any section of this chapter or who commences any electrical installations or performs any electrical work without prior receipt of a required electrical permit is guilty of a municipal infraction and is subject to a fine as established by resolution of the City Council.

    B.

    Electrical installations completed without a permit as required by this chapter, not in conformity with the Electrical Code, shall be removed by the person responsible when ordered to do so by the enforcing officer.

    C.

    It is unlawful to use or allow the use of, or to supply current for an electrical system in a building or structure, unless the required certificate of inspection and permit have been issued by the Code Official.

    D.

    It is unlawful to ignore or deface a stop work order issued by the Code Official.
