§ 17.40.740. Solid waste and refuse—Generally.

  • A.

    Every occupant of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall dispose of all solid waste and refuse, and other organic waste in a clean and sanitary manner by placing it in approved storage containers or disposal facilities which are safe and sanitary.

    B.

    The owner of a dwelling or dwelling unit shall provide approved storage containers or disposal facilities for and within the dwelling unit and shall maintain them in a clean and sanitary manner.

    C.

    The owner of a multifamily dwelling shall be responsible for the clean and sanitary maintenance of common storage or disposal facilities.

    D.

    The owner of a dwelling, dwelling unit, or multifamily dwelling shall be responsible for placing out for collection all common solid waste containers, except where such are for the sole use of an occupant, under which circumstances it is the responsibility of the occupant to place said containers out for collection.

    E.

    The owner of a dwelling, dwelling unit, or multifamily dwelling shall also comply with Chapter 10.16 of the Code of the City of Annapolis.
