§ 7.08.010. Billiard and pool tables.

  • A.

    No billiard table, pool table, or any other table or device or structure of a similar kind shall be erected, set up, kept or in any respect whatever used for the purpose of entertainment, and no sporting gallery shall be opened, without a license having been obtained. The cost of each license shall be established by resolution of the City Council.

    B.

    Every establishment in which a billiard table, pool table or other table or device or structure for which a license is required by Subsection A of this section is located, shall be closed between two a.m. and six a.m. No person may remain on the premises of the establishment during those hours; except, that up to two employees may remain on the premises from closing until 2:15 a.m. The proprietor and any other person permitting the establishment to remain open between the hours of two a.m. and six a.m., or permitting any person to remain on the premises of the establishment unlawfully during those hours, are guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine or imprisonment or both as established by resolution of the City Council.
